Review of chapters 1-3

I think this book is kind of boring. It is predictable, like when they say the doctor is mean and lazy, it gives the impression that he won't help them in their times of need. Similar to the picture on the cover, you can tell that in some point of the story, they are going to find a pearl of good fortunes. I guess this book has good descriptive words and all, but I don't like how you can pretty much predict most of it. I don't really like predictable books all that much. To me, when you know what's going to happen in a book, it feels like you've already read it, even though you haven't. Some parts were very confusing, too... Some of the descriptive parts were very confusing, like when he was describing where they lived, on page 1. I personally thought that they were living in a barn, NOT a brush house! I don't really like how the author is writing this so far, but I hope it will get better.
